There is a lack of news about this fast growth bedroom community of Corpus Christi, Texas. The goal of this blog is to provide a resource for those interested in past, present and future business and community projects in the area.

Business in Portland is on a growth fast track but still typifies great suburban living. Neighborhoods are quiet and there are still some reasonably priced shore front properties.

I was under the impression the new road construction (181) was for the La Quinta terminal (cotton). This makes a lot more sense. This is huge project. I had heard some buzz in the Caller that some folks in Portland where not happy about the Gateway because of what it will do -somewhat- scenic nature of the area.
